Itinerary

Day 1.Arrival in Dimapur | Transfers to Kigwema by a dedicated vehicle | Welcome and orientation session. 

  • Pick up from Guwahati airport by 1100 hrs
  • Travel to Kigwema. (80 km / 3 hr)
  • Evening welcoming tea and orientation.
  • Optional walk at Kigwema village.
  • Camping (Tent stay) at Kigwema. 
  • Private enclosed clean camping area with Concrete Toilet bath facilities.

Day 2.  Kigwema - Kisama - Kigwema | Hornbill Festival 

  • Hornbill Fest at Kisama Village
  • Tribal folk performances during the day.
  • Live music concert in the evening. 
  • Camping (Tent stay) at Kigwema.

Day 3. Kigwema - Dzukuo Valley trek

  • Travel by SUV  to the Vishwema Trek road head of Dzukuo valley. (1 hr offroading)
  • Hike to Dzukuo Valley accompanied by a Local Trek Guide. (4 hr )
  • Camping / Log hut at Dzukuo Valley

Day 4. Dzukuo Valley trek -Kigwema | Evening at Hornbill Fest Live concert

  • Morning Sunshine at Dzukuo Valley
  • Hike back to Kigwema accompanied by a Local Trek Guide. (4 hr )
  • Travel by SUV  to Kigwema (1 hr offroading)
  • Evening at Kisama Hornbill Festival Arena for Live concerts.
  • Camping (Tent stay) at Kigwema. 

Day 5. Kigwema - Khonoma - Dimapur (108 km / 3 hr)

  • Kohima local (War cemetery, Kohima Cathedral),
  • Khonoma Village walk. 
  • Dimapur Drop by 4 pm. 
  • Tour ends

What is included in the tour

  • Stay 4 nights on Double occupancy in a Tent. 
  • Food : Dinner + Breakfast 4 food cycle
  • Reserved transport (Maruti Alto / Sumo) as per the itinerary.
  • SUV for Dzkuo Valley Trek internal transfers.
  • Hornbill Festival entry tickets.
  • Guided walk at Khonoma Village
  • Dedicated tour coordination assistance.
  • GST 5%

What is NOT included in the tour

  • Anything not mentioned in the “Inclusions” segment.
  • Flight / Train Fares
  • Stay at Dimapur
  • Personal expenses like Travel Insurance, bottled water, laundry, phone calls, camera charges, room heaters etc.       
  • Cost for add ons and  Up–Gradation Charges
  • Cost for extra usage of vehicle, other than scheduled & mentioned in the itinerary.
  • Any eventualities, Medical situations, Change in tour due to Natural calamities or civil unrest.
Tour specific Notes

Accommodation
All accommodations are in tents. 
Clean, spacious and covered camping area with common concrete toilet bath.
 

Food
Camping food is simple and basic. Veg/ Non Veg food is available.
The food experience will be satisfactory but  might not be very delightful. 
However while you are in Hornbill festive arena, you will find many restaurants and eateries to celebrate your taste buds.

Trek
The Dzkuo valley trek is considered as  moderate level difficult. 1st hour is steep climb up and next 3 hour are valley walk.
