The Brahmaputra Moto Tour / "Assam River & Tea Trails"
Day 1: Guwahati – Dimakuchi | Distance: 110 km | Ride: 3-4 hrs
Highlights: City escape to tea country. Smooth valley ride on tarmac, perfect for settling in. Unwind at a serene tea estate. Gentle introduction to Assamese plains riding.
Terrain: Mostly flat, well-paved roads. Easy cruising.
Day 2: Dimakuchi – Kaziranga National Park | Distance: 180 km | Ride: 5 hrs
Highlights: Ride through more tea gardens to rhino country. Transition from remote roads to wildlife hub. Jeep/elephant safari in Kaziranga.
Terrain: Good blacktop with some narrower tea estate roads. Mostly flat, some busier sections.
Day 3: Kaziranga – Majuli Island | Distance: 90 km (road) + Ferry | Ride: 2-3 hrs + 1-2 hrs (ferry)
Highlights: Unique ride & sail day! Ferry across Brahmaputra to Majuli, the world's largest river island. Explore tribal culture, food, and local wine.
Terrain: Good tarmac to ferry point. Ferry is a floating ride. Majuli has broken tarmac, dirt tracks, and sandy patches.
Day 4: Majuli Island Ride | Distance: 50-80 km (exploring) | Ride: Full day (leisurely)
Highlights: Immerse in island life. Ride through tribal villages, over bamboo bridges, and visit Vaishnavite monasteries. Enjoy local cuisine.
Terrain: Mix of paved and cracked tarmac, Gentle off-roading in some patches.
Day 5: Majuli – Nameri National Park | Distance: 220 km | Ride: 5 hrs
Highlights: Return to mainland, then a longer cruising mode ride to Nameri. Enjoy open roads and pristine nature by the Jia Bhoroli River.
Terrain: Back on good national highway sections. Long straights for covering ground.
Day 6: Nameri – Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary | Distance: 200 km | Ride: 5-6 hrs
Highlights: Longest ride to Pobitora, a rhino stronghold. Optional rafting at Nameri. Scenic valley ride. Bonfire and folk music in Pobitora.
Terrain: Mix of state and national highways. Expect varying conditions: good tarmac, rough patches, and speed breakers. A true mile muncher.
Day 07- Pobitora - Guwahati | Distance: 50 km | Ride: 1.5 hrs
Highlights: Morning safari in Pobitora for one last rhino sighting. Short, easy ride back to Guwahati. Reflect on your epic journey through Assam's diverse landscapes.
Terrain: Mostly smooth tarmac, good roads leading back to the city. A relaxed cool-down ride after your adventure.
